The Recycled Content & Circularity Declaration (RC²D Declaration™)is an innovative, science-based product assessment and declaration service developed for manufacturers seeking to demonstrate credible circular economy performance and differentiate their products in increasingly sustainability-focused markets.

Designed for construction products, interior fitout materials, industrial products, textiles, packaging and consumer goods, RC²D brings together independently verified recycled content ratings, internationally recognised Circular Transition Indicators (CTI) and transparent product information to support more informed specification, procurement and purchasing decisions.

One Declaration. Multiple Measures of Circularity.

While conventional recycled content assessments focus primarily on the percentage of recycled materials within a product, RC²D goes further — assessing the circularity performance of the finished product itself.

The Declaration combines:

• Independently Verified Recycled Content– assessment of recycled material inputs, including pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled content, with recognition of reused and refurbished products and components.
• Circularity Scoring– a measurable Circularity Score compliant with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Circular Transition Indicators (CTI) methodology and applicable Green Star® circularity requirements.
• Tiered Recycled Content Ratings– BronzeRECYCLED, SilverRECYCLED, GoldRECYCLED and PlatinumRECYCLED Certification TAGs™, reflecting assessed weighted recycled content (weightings calibrated to recognise: 50% of pre-consumer, 100% of post consumer) and circularity-related material benefits with minimum recognised recycled content of 5%.
• Transparent Product Information– a single GreenTag Certification TAG™ and Certificate presenting verified recycled content metrics and circularity performance in a consistent, easy-to-understand format.
• Accessible Assessment Evidence– an embedded QR Code connecting directly to the product's GreenTag Product Assessment Report on the Global GreenTag website.
