Founded on rigorous scientific principles to fill the need for trustworthy product intelligence, Global GreenTagCertTM is a single contact-multiple certification, globally recognized, independent product certification and sustainability rating system.

How Does GreenTag Work?
Unlike many certification schemes that apply broad, checkbox-style or 'pass/fail' assessments, GreenTag is unique in how it employs rigorous scientific process and turns it into trusted certifications directly relevant to the claims manufacturers want to make.
Manufacturers submit detailed data on materials, emissions, lifecycle impact, and ethical sourcing. Expert assessors independently verify this using proven methodologies including life cycle assessment, and in specific instances backed external expert peer review.
Each product earns a clear multi-tier rating of its environmental, health, resource and/or sustainability performance — never self-declared, always evidence-based and third party verified prior to certification.
The result: complex science, distilled into credible, actionable intelligence that specifiers and buyers can trust that helps simplify and expedite complex sales processes.

History
The Global GreenTagCertTM certification was launched by Ecospecifier Pty Ltd in 2010 and took over from the Ecospecifier 'Verified Product' website launched by the late Ian Kiernan AO and GreenTag's co-founders in 2003.
Its operation was transferred to Global GreenTag Pty Ltd in 2012 and Licensed to Global GreenTag International in 2014. GreenTag's co-founders are Mary-Lou Kelly and David Baggs LFRAIA.
