Verosol Australia – A Benchmark in Responsible Manufacturing and Sustainable Innovation

Frontiers of Sustainable Manufacturing: Spotlight

Global GreenTag International is proud to recognise Verosol Australia with its extensive range of certified products as a leading example of responsible manufacturing, product innovation, and environmental stewardship within the built environment sector.

As a trusted, independent certification body, Global GreenTag rigorously assesses products and manufacturers against some of the world's most comprehensive sustainability standards. Verosol's extensive portfolio of certified fabrics reflects not only product excellence, but also a deep and genuine commitment to environmental and human health outcomes.

Jules Di Bartolome, Managing Director of Verosol Australia said:

"Sustainability at Verosol has never been treated as an add-on or a separate initiative. It comes from a clear view that high-performance products must also deliver better environmental and human outcomes. Creating better internal environments for the people inside buildings has always been part of our DNA.

As we've evolved, that thinking has pushed us well beyond product design. It has shaped how we manufacture, how we use energy, and how we take responsibility for our products at end of life.

What we've learned is that real sustainability is not achieved through isolated initiatives or claims. It comes from consistently making better decisions across the entire business, from materials and energy through to circularity and long-term product performance.

Today, it is embedded in how we operate and how we innovate. It continues to raise the standard for what we expect from ourselves and what our clients should expect from us."

Global GreenTag estimates that Verosol Australia is measurably at the forefront of solar control and energy-saving solutions. Its advanced metallised fabrics are designed to significantly reduce heat gain and glare, while lowering energy consumption in buildings. These outcomes deliver measurable performance benefits, supporting improved occupant comfort and reduced operational carbon footprints. A key point of difference is Verosol's vertically integrated, Australian-based manufacturing capability.

At a time when local manufacturing continues to decline, Verosol has maintained and strengthened its domestic production. This ensures consistent quality, supply chain transparency, and reduced emissions associated with transportation and production due to its factory direct renewable energy inputs.

Verosol's production facility (Sydney) is a registered solar power station, reinforcing its commitment to renewable energy and sustainable operations. This investment supports at least a carbon-neutral manufacturing environment, where the business not only replaces its fossil fuel use with renewable energy use but also sells renewable energy back into the grid.

Sustainability is further demonstrated through Verosol's strong focus on circularity. Its manufacturing processes achieve zero landfill impact, supported by disciplined waste management and material recovery systems. Through its product take-back program, Verosol extends responsibility beyond the point of sale, ensuring materials are reclaimed, repurposed, or responsibly managed at end of life.

This approach is underpinned by a broader stewardship philosophy embedded across the organisation. Verosol actively embraces lifecycle thinking, continuous improvement, and transparency in its operations and product development.

Another standout initiative is Verosol's 'Day 2 Services' program. This program reflects a forward-thinking approach to long-term product performance and client value. By supporting maintenance, future upgrades, and hence lifecycle optimisation, Verosol enables clients to extend product life, reduce waste, and maximise the value and longevity of their investment.

Global GreenTag's CEO David Baggs LFRAIA

recognises this and states:

"Meaningful sustainability leadership requires ongoing commitment, innovation, and accountability. Verosol consistently demonstrates these qualities through its actions and outcomes. We strongly encourage architects, designers, builders, and specifiers to support and prioritise organisations such as Verosol. Businesses that invest in local manufacturing, set high sustainability benchmarks, and commit to continuous improvement, play a critical role in advancing a more sustainable built environment."

"Verosol is not only meeting expectations. It is helping define them," said David.

Ranges of Verosol products currently hold EN 15804 EPDs under the Global GreenTag International Environmental Product Declaration Program and a number of their products undergoing reassessment are on the verge of being recertified.
