Celebration of Sustainable Innovation: GreenTag, Project Floors NZ and other Industry Leaders with GreenTag Certified Products Unite in Auckland

A spirit of collaboration and forward-thinking sustainability took centre stage at a recent industry event in Auckland, hosted by Project Floors NZ, where leaders and clients of Global GreenTag International gathered to share ideas, innovations, and success stories in the built environment sector.

The event marked a milestone moment for Global GreenTag and its growing community in New Zealand. Tyann Scott, Global GreenTag's Global Sales and Business Development Manager was a featured speaker at the event, sharing insights into the power of product certification in driving transparency, trust and transformation across supply chains. Tyann was joined by fellow speakers Phil Smith, Director of the award-winning Smith Architects, and Jade Patel, CEO of Project Floors NZ, for an engaging discussion that explored the practical pathways to more sustainable interior design and product specification.

"We are seeing a real shift in the way professionals across New Zealand are approaching sustainability," said Tyann. "There's a strong desire not just for greener materials, but for independently verified proof that products are doing what they claim. That's what makes events like this so important—they provide a space to celebrate those who are leading by example."

"It was a privilege to connect with professionals so dedicated to transparency and positive change," said Tyann Scott. "Project Floors is one such manufacturer that is dedicated to providing the market with product third party certified by Global GreenTag and truly innovating in their category. They were also showcasing another carpet product called Thrive® they claim to be the world's first carbon negative carpet fibre. The product contains matter that is certified under Project Floors' GreenTag GreenRate™ Level A certified ProTile Econyl with EcoTX backing range."

The Project Floors event was also attended by other clients of Global GreenTag whose product ranges carry multiple certifications under the Global GreenTag Certification Standard. These included:

Autex Industries, whose Embrace™ Stretch Wool Felt Panels recently also became the first building material in the world to achieve certification under the Global GreenTag NaturePositive+ Standard—a landmark achievement that highlights how product innovation can actively contribute to restoring biodiversity and ecosystem health.

• With Project Floors, GreenTag also welcomed representation at the event from Dulux New Zealand, another long-standing manufacturer with GreenTag certified products. The event welcomed Stacey Nielsen Van Reizig, Senior Category Manager for Dulux NZ, and Moumita Das Roye, Commercial Communications Manager at the Dulux Group, reinforcing Dulux's commitment to providing the market with trusted product data and third-party certification.

Project Floors hosted the event at Tailor Inc in Auckland's CBD. Tyann Scott said the event was very successful, and extended a special thanks to Ngaio Hardie, the Executive Assistant to Project Floors' CEO who brought the event together and warmly welcomed other GreenTag clients.

The event, adds Tyann, not only offered an opportunity for attendees to network and learn, it became a powerful reminder that sustainability is no longer a fringe concern—it's a shared industry priority. With a room full of passionate professionals, from manufacturers to architects and specifiers, the event underscored a growing movement: one that seeks verified product performance claims and champions innovative design outcomes.

The gathering concluded with enthusiasm for deeper collaboration, cross-industry learning, and an inspired commitment to building a future where every product choice contributes meaningfully to a healthier planet.
