David Baggs to tour with GBCA for Green Building Day!

The Green Building Day hosted by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) is back this year for an Australian tour in the following cities and dates: Perth - May 23rd, Brisbane - May 31st, Adelaide - 6th June, Melbourne - June 15th, Sydney & Virtual Session - June 22nd.

Global GreenTag International CEO David Baggs has been invited by the Green Building Council of Australia to go on a national tour, starting this month, for the Green Building Day series. David is part of a line-up of 'sustainability innovators' that GBCA has gathered to provide immersive experiences for audiences in how to transform the sustainable built environment.

The Green Building Day tour will deep dive into key strategy areas through a local and national lens on topics from embodied carbon, electrification, nature and biodiversity and more. For those interested in green building, it will be a great chance to connect and engage and further knowledge on all things related to GBCA's Green Star® tools.

David Baggs says: "The Green Building Day initiative provides valuable and diverse content for the construction industry. For Global GreenTag, it is a great opportunity to get our learnings across from a green products and materials' certification perspective and help the built industry learn more about the best sustainable approaches to creating benchmark green projects."

Green Building Day participants can look forwards to learning about the latest updates in Green Star, listen to the latest and most innovative case studies from around the country and hear from industry experts who will share their experience and learnings on key challenges in the built environment.

Moreover, the GBCA will be providing five to six Green Star Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points for those attending the events.

Established in 2002, the GBCA's purpose is to lead the sustainable transformation of the built environment by rating the sustainability of buildings, educating stakeholders, advocating policies and collaborating with its members.

The first of the Green Building Days kicks off in Perth in WA.

As a multi-award winning green building architect, a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects and one of Global GreenTag's founders and developers of its product certification programs, designed for the green building industries, David will be bringing to Green Building Day years of knowledge and practical experience. He may well touch on the latest developments of a new NaturePositive+ Product Standard for Circular Economy project design and, making a clear case for greater transparency in product manufacturing and product stewardship responsibility to support green building projects that want to help restore biodiversity in the built environment and tackle climate change.

David is both a sustainability materials' specialist and a multi-award winning green building architect, voted one of Australia's Top 50 Green Leaders and Top 100 Sustainability Leaders Globally. He is also an Exemplar Global Lead Auditor and currently a member of the Green Building Council of Australia' People & Wellbeing Expert Reference Panel.
