Meet the NAC: Mark Thomson of the Australian Green Development Forum (AGDF)

GreenTag's commitment to supporting a healthier built environment is long established in Australia and globally.  We have regular contact with eminent industry exponents of sustainable building design and one of those professionals is Mark Thomson, President of the agdf.org.au" target="_blank[Australian Green Development Forum (AGDF)] a non-profit coalition endorsed by industry and environmental bodies.

Mark is a valued member of GreenTag's National Advisory Committee (NAC) for Building Products with a passion for creating healthy working and living environments.  He is an Ecological Architect and Sustainability Consultant, with a national reputation for the practical implementation of Ecologically Sustainable Development.

In 2016 Mark judged the Queensland Premiers Sustainability Awards and since 2015 been a judge of the Australian Banksia Sustainability Awards. He was an Expert Panel member in the international Katerva Awards in 2013, recognised as the Nobel Prize in Sustainability. In 2007, he co-authored the book "The Environmental Brief – Pathways to Green Design", which was published in London.

In addition to his roles with the Australian Green Development Forum and his advisory role with GreenTag, Mark is also a faculty member of the Green Building Council of Australia, the Queensland Representative of the Banksia Foundation and an Earthcheck Accredited Professional.
