Zinacore™, a roofing product is made up of a hot dipped aluminium/zinc alloy coating over a steel substrate. It is designed for colour retention and formability. The substrate is coated to 150gms/m2 coating weight and manufactured to AS 1397:2011 standard. It is ideal for benign to moderate (C1-C3) atmospheric conditions.
The product is pre-treated with a corrosion resistant chromate conversion coating and primed with a flexible corrosion resistant chromated primer with nominal film thickness of 7μ± 1μ on the top side and 5μ±1μ on the reverse. The finish is completed with a flexible exterior acrylic, polyester or modified coating.
ZinaCore™ can be supplied with an optional protective film. The product is tested to ASTM D5178-13 scratch resistance test and experiences no loss of paint adhesion after it is struck on the reversed side in line with test requirements specified in AS/NZS2728:2013 Table 2.2 and appendix E. This product also meets the requirements of AS/NZS2728:2013 Sections 2.8 and 2.10 Salt Spray, Sections 2.8 and 2.9 Humidity resistance and Sections 2.8 and Table 2.4 QUV resistance (durability of coating system).
