NatSteel Reinforced Bar, Precut, Deformed Bar in Coil, Hard Drawn Wire and Wire Rod products are manufactured with lower carbon emissions at 0.5 tonnes CO2 per tonne of crude steel compared to the worldsteel global average of 1.91 tonnes per tonne of crude steel for 2022. Their manufacturing processes are ISO 14001 certified and they participate in the worldsteel Climate Action data collection program.
The steel is manufactured from 100% scrap metal using an electric arc furnace. NatSteel Reinforced Bar, Precut, Deformed Bar in Coil, Hard Drawn Wire and Wire Rod products are manufactured to the Singapore Standard SS 560:2016. The product has been designed for a 100 year working design life when used in monumental building structures, bridges and other civil engineering structures
