More information:

The product is GreenTag GreenRate Level C Certified under Scheme C8.

The scope of certification includes R280 HT Vinyl Plank & Tile Adhesive
Issues of Concern/Red Lights (if needed) The products have successfully passed the relevant GreenTag Standard's Cautionary Assessment Process and issues of concern comments exist regarding the toxicity of the products.

R280 HT Vinyl Plank & Tile Adhesive contains minimal amount of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose which is categorised with H372: "Causes damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure". It also contains extremely low amount of ethanedial which is categorised with H315, H317, H319,H332 and H341, the hazards of which include: "causes skin irritation, may cause an allergic skin reaction, causes serious eye irritation, harmful if inhaled, suspected of causing genetic defects". Once the glue is used for flooring adhesion, there is very low chance for end users to be repeatedly exposed to this substance. There may be accidental spill into eyes or on skin when applying the adhesive. PPE should be used to mitigate such risks though. The risk is more likely to happen during the manufacturing stage. RLA polymer provided sufficient evidence for their Occupational Health and Safety System, but the manufacturer of mixture containing hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and ethanedial didn't provide such evidence. Hence, an issue of concern is raised.
