- Low toxicity
- Considered safe to use
- Low VOC level
Flexible Polyurethane Foam is a cushioning product used primarily in Furniture and Bedding applications. Flexible foam can be created in almost any variety of shapes and firmness. It is light, durable, supportive and comfortable. Its applications are virtually endless, ranging from small but essential items such as sponges in the kitchen, carpet underlay, packaging, medical dressings to large filters and soundproofing systems that keep our environment clean and quiet.
- In Furniture, it is used to upholster lounge furniture, including seat and back cushioning.
- In the Bedding industry, foam is used as a comfort layer above a spring base or indeed as the body of a mattress.
- Other household applications include, carpet underlay, kitchen sponges, and even as a pelmets for curtaining.
- Flexible polyurethane foam is used extensively in the medical industry as it is easy to clean, impervious to microbial organisms, and can be made with fungicidal and bactericidal additives for added safety.
Given its open cell structure flexible foam is a good sound absorption medium, and has applications where sound suppression is desired, including music studio sound panels, even construction sound barriers, that keep our environment clean and quiet.
