Laminated smart glass, also known as switchable or privacy glass, utilizes a Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) film or other smart film technology to control light transmission and privacy.
This technology allows the glass to transition from opaque to transparent on demand, typically via an electrical current.

Specialized glass factories laminate the smart film between glass panes, using heat, pressure, and adhesives like EVA.
