JH Termite Barrier is both a chemical and physical barrier that prevents and controls termites. This termite protection consists of a thick fibre blanket impregnated with low levels of the active ingredient Deltamethrin which acts as the chemical barrier. The blanket is laminated on both sides with a durable polyethylene plastic creating a physical barrier against the termites.
This design first attempts to eliminate termites through the thick durable physical barrier, and then eliminates any termites that manage to break through the physical barrier with the concealed chemical barrier.
The inclusion of the thick durable polyethylene plastic covering ensures that no Deltamethrin contaminates the surrounding environment.
This product has been registered with the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority and has been awarded CodeMark Certification. According termite resistance assessment reports reviewed by CodeMark, the product is "efficacious against termite attack for up to 50 years after installation".
