Dr Shadia Moazzem
Product Assessor
Dr Shadia Moazzem is a qualified Exemplar Global Environmental Management Systems Lead Auditor who is passionate about ecolabelling and working with GreenTag to improve the environmental performance of products and materials. She is also skilled in carbon accounting and qualified as a Green Star® Accredited Professional with the Green Building Council of Australia.
Award winning in her field, Shadia completing a PhD from RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) University in 2021 in Sustainability and Life Cycle Environmental Assessment. Her PhD work focused on life cycle assessment (LCA) of textile supply chains and waste management.
Shadia has since become well-published in LCA, producing a seminal paper on coal-fire power decarbonation and a number of journal articles and conference papers on textile supply chains, biodiesel versus diesel and decarbonation technology.
Shadia joined the Global GreenTag Product Assessment Team and EPD Program after a period of time with GECA as a Standard and Technical Officer. Prior to this, and after completing her research with RMIT, Shadia had worked for almost a year with GreenTag's LCI and EPD program associates, Evah Institute, to develop and master LCA supply chain research and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) development.
