More information:

The products have successfully passed the Ecospecifier Cautionary Assessment Process (ESCAP). The scope of the ESCAP cautionary assessment process covers the Rephouse Factory, suppliers, in-use and end of life impacts. The product uses a binder which contains a small amount of 4,4'-Diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI). This ingredient is categorised with R20, R36/37/38, R40, R42/43 and R48. It is harmful by inhalation, irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. It may cause sensitisation by inhalation and skin contact. Due to the fact that this ingredient is bonded with the final product, the risk of causing irritation and sensitisation to end users is considered to be very low at the product-use stage. Any potential risk is more likely to happen during the manufacturing process. The manufacturer of MDI provided OHSAS 18001 certificate to prove that workers are well protected from occupational risks.. Rephouse factory also provided sufficient documents that demonstrate a proper Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) system is implemented in the factory to mitigate these risks.
